What is CBDC?
CBDC is a digital currency that is issued by a central bank and freely available to the public. Two examples are the Sand Dollar by the Central Bank of the Bahamas and the digital Ruble by the Bank of Russia. The currencies only differ from the country’s origin by being the digital version of it.
Why Central Bank Digital Currencies?
Digital currencies present a fantastic opportunity for businesses and individuals. They could revolutionize global payments, render traditional fiat currencies obsolete, and boost economic growth. In addition, they could improve financial transparency and increase central bank control over our economies. As digital currencies gain in popularity and acceptance, we can expect widespread changes in the way we currently conduct business. This effect can change both revolutionize Traditional and Decentralized finance.
Now there is institutional interest from JP Morgan Chase planning to tokenize assets worth trillions of dollars and FED using CBDC to regulate currency circulation.
One company that could lead the way in this evolution is LCX out of Vaduz, Lichtenstein!

Conclusion
Regulation and controlling currencies
The idea of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) is not far-fetched regarding the high institutional interest. Controlling and regulating money more precisely than ever could form a new optimized financial world where it would be possible to fightcrises early. This would be possible by looking at consumer, company, or bank spending behavior from all around the world. It would also be possible to notice money crimes early and take further action quickly.
More Liquidity for real estate
Tokenization can help to fight illiquidity which is widespread in the high-value real estate market. When a property is worth a few million dollars, buying and selling the property can take time.
Let’s imagine a $2 million home is tokenized, with each token representing property ownership. These tokens can be purchased by 200 buyers, enabling each buyer to invest $20,000 in real estate ownership. This makes it easier for illiquid assets to be sold, as fractional ownership is possible with tokenized assets. Companies like Yielders already provide fractional ownership of real estate without using blockchain technology.
Liquidity risk management
The FTX collapse was a result of several underlying issues, including its business model of using the volatile FTX Token (FTT) as collateral. However, if there were checks and balances in place that were transparent for customers to see, mitigating actions could have been taken in time and many people would have not lost money.
