In addition to gaming, these technologies can also be used for medical, educational, and training purposes. AR opens unlimited ways in Web 3 for further improving virtual reality entertainment.
Sombra Network is one company that focuses on exploring future entertainment options to make the virtual world more real than ever!
Sombras sectors
Sombra Network is one of the first multichain NFT metaverse content studios for artists and brands to start with NFTs. The network aims to be a multichain platform compatible with platforms like Ethereum (ETH) and Polygon (Matic). Sombra launched their own digital Universe which is ran through Polygon. They are also active in the commercial sector by helping to produce commercials, improve game graphics and create augmented reality avatars or similar things for other companies.
What has Sombra done so far?
The number one thing that interests me when I analyze another company is what they have done in the past. High potential is surely important but without any noticeable actions social proof is missing. A lot of projects have high potential but lack of success longterm.
The US company worked together with PayPal, Nike, Subway, Niki Minaj and Niantic and launched Sins Shadow their native play-to-earn game. What is most interesting is the diversity of services that were provided to their customers. Fortnite wants new character skins, PayPal wanted a spot for their crypto integration, Subway and Nike augmented commercials and Niki Minaj for the short promotion of her newest Spotify song. Also Niantic is interested in improving Pokémon Go’s graphics.
In addition they integrated SMBR in their Sins Shadow game.

Its an NFT Play-to-earn cinematic universe where users own the characters and vote on the storyline/game as it develops. Each month a new cinematic VR TV show is realized that is also the narrative storyline for their P2E videogame. These episodes star many of the minted avatars and if desired you can also be stared! These NFt characters can be traded on exchanges.
Besides gaming it`s also possible to:
· Buy land at a first come first server basis. Prices increase based on sale demands for the given area.
· Build houses, businesses, and other digital real-estate from in game assets.

What impact could Sombra have in the future?
The diversity of services could lead to lots of different chances the Web 3 world is allowing us. Besides metaverse NFTs the whole commercializing sector could change. Augmented graphics allow more optically appealing effects that could lead to a different behavior for consumers. In the past Subway, Nike and Niki Minaj acquired the companies’ services to create augmented commercials.
Additionally the network has partnered with the NFL and is responsible for Super Bowl NFts. These tokens contain the most unique moments from this game and can be traded. In the past the NFL also minted NFt tickets for regular season games. This means that fans buy a token and then get a random seat. The tickets are ranked from very good to not so good and are only available once. If this idea proves to be successful it could be possible that other organizations will try this concept, too.
I think the fans will not be the problem as fans love to get the chance to get very good seats by still paying the same price.
Conclusion
At the moment the FTX exchange bankruptcy which was the 2 largest crypto exchanges is about to be non-existent anymore. A lot of people lost money. This concern is also notable in the crypto charts as the trend was more downwards as investors are more cautious about investing now.
On the other hand cryptos are recovering from the bankruptcy which I interpret as a stability sign for the crypto market.
For Sombra Network I believe it could be a bit more difficult to sell their tokens or NFts as of the end of 2022. In 2023 however this could shift as people will gain more trust and forget what happened. The project will be on my watchlist as augmented graphics, avatar creation and their former and ongoing partnerships have aroused my interest.
Lastly I think gamers like the idea of being in a virtual world where you can do much more than just gaming. But for the traditional gamers deciding on their own story in the game and being part of it promises to be fun.
